Ignorance breeds fear. Speak out against alarmist media!

The media is crawling all over the hookah lounge topic. Where a sophisticated, densely populated city is nonexistent, hookah lounges are instead popping up near college campuses. The media is addressing the growing popularity as well as the health issues which may be involved with hookah smoking. The answer: No matter where a hookah lounge is located, it's important to dress decently and not be a loudmouth kook. If they're below your standards, well then the establishment is the one that should be embarrassed, not you. This reasoning is to respect the lounge and its patrons since many places are traditional and have traditional clientele, as well as to help perpetuate the notion that hookah lounges are hip, ultra-cool, and sophisticated. Let's keep this up so that hookah lounges don't permanently get the reputation as faddish, fashionless student hangouts. Many places have extravagant decor, and people roll their eyes when you arrive in shorts, sandals and a baseball cap. Keep up the high standards! And if a place is sub-standard and enough nicely dressed people walk in and immediately walk out, maybe the establishment will get a clue to spruce up.
